Jamal Farhat is the Vice President and Chief Information Officer at BorgWarner responsible for the strategy and execution of information technology in the company.

Prior to BorgWarner, Jamal held the position of CIO and Executive Director of Supply Chain Management at LDM Technologies. His background includes senior IT management positions in the automotive industry including OEMs such as General Motors, and many medium to large size tier one suppliers. His experience includes eleven years of information technology consulting at EDS and Perot Systems.

Jamal holds a Bachelor & Masters of Science degree in electrical engineering from Washington University in St. Louis and an MBA from the University of Michigan.

Jamal holds Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI). He is also certified in Integrated Resource Management (CIRM) by the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS).
