Laurene H. Horiszny is Chief Compliance Officer of BorgWarner Inc.

Prior to being named to her current position in January 2007, Horiszny served as the company's general counsel since May of 1993. She joined the company in 1986 as an attorney, was promoted to senior attorney in 1988 and assistant general counsel in 1991. Before joining BorgWarner Inc., Horiszny was an attorney with EX-CELL-O Corporation in Troy, Michigan, and with Consumers Power Company in Jackson, Michigan.

Ms. Horiszny earned a bachelor's degree in business from Michigan State University in 1977 and a JD from the Ohio State University College of Law in 1980. She is a member of the American, Illinois and Michigan Bar Associations; Manufacturers' Alliance Law Council II where she served as a chairman 2000-2005; and American Society of Corporate Secretaries, where she served as a member of the Advisory Committee and past president of the Chicago Chapter 1998-2005. She is currently president of the Detroit Chapter. She served on the Boy Scouts of America Land O'Lakes Council and on the Board of Directors of the Girl Scouts of DuPage County Council. She has volunteered as a mentor with Menttium Corporation since 2006.
