Robin J. Adams is among the 161 chief financial officers who scored the highest when Institutional Investor magazine asked portfolio managers and sell-side analysts to choose the top-performing CFOs in their domain.

Institutional Investor's top chief financial officers were selected based on the responses of two groups of voters: more than 900 research analysts and portfolio managers at more than 330 money management firms running $4.9 trillion in equity assets, and every brokerage firm analyst who received votes in Institutional Investor's 2005 All-America Research Team rankings-more than 360 sell-side analysts-at nearly 75 brokerage firms.

Both groups were asked the following questions: Whom do you regard as the best CFO in the sector (or sectors) for which you're responsible? Respondents were asked to name their first, second and third choices for best CFO; the 1,270 responses were weighted to produce a score for each candidate. Institutional Investor named a top CFO in each of the 62 industry sectors. These comprise the "Best CFO" Award recipients.

Mr. Adams was recognized in the Consumer - Autos and Auto Parts category. He was honored with the other recipients at a dinner ceremony at the Four Seasons Hotel in Washington, D.C.
